Q + A

Things to keep in mind:

This is a cottage wedding and there will be walking involved. You will be required to walk 5 minutes to the ceremony, and another 5 minutes to the reception. Please wear comfortable shoes.

DO NOT MISS THE FERRY OR THE BUS! If you miss the ferry/bus, there is no additional transportation to the ceremony or cottage reception.

If walking is a concern or you require a ride directly to the ceremony/reception, please contact Jeremy or Pixley in advance.

How do I get to and from the wedding?

Walk on the 2:00pm Wolfe Island Ferry from Kingston to Wolfe Island. Ferry terminal is located at 295 Ontario Street. Once you arrive on the Island you will find a bus waiting to take you to the ceremony and reception. We are asking everyone to take the bus to the ceremony and cottage reception, as there is very limited parking. If you need to drive, please contact Jeremy or Pixley. The bus will return to the village and drop everyone off for the dance party reception at the Wolfe Island Hotel at 7:30 after sunset. For your return to Kingston, boats departing Wolfe Island are not walkable from the hotel. There will be two busses departing, one at 11:40pm to catch the 12:00am ferry, and another at 1:10am to catch the 1:30am ferry. If you need to take an earlier ferry, please contact Jeremy or Pixley in advance. Please note, if you miss the ferry/bus, there is no additional transportation to the ceremony or cottage reception.

What ferry do we take?

Please walk on the 2:00 p.m. ferry from Kingston to Wolfe Island. Arrive to the ferry dock at least ten minutes in advance if you are walking on. If you need to bring your car to the Island, please note the ferry line in the summer can be over an hour wait. Please plan accordingly and arrive early to ensure you don't miss the boat. Due to the long wait to bring your car over, we recommend everyone walk onto the boat as transportation is provided on the Island via a bus.

Will there be food and drinks?

Yes! (Almost rude to ask 😉) At the cottage reception, there will be plenty of charcuterie and snacks, and More Smoke will have their smoker fired up. Drinks will be flowing, including some of Pix’s signature mixes. There will also be late night snacks back at the hotel.

What if it rains?

We will roll with it and it will be more memorable. We have a bunch of Umbrella's and a tent just in case.

Are Children Invited?

No.

What is the dress code?

Semi formal. Look good, feel good. There will be walking involved so please wear comfortable shoes.

Where can we stay?

There are a few AirBnBs on the Island. There are also multiple hotels close to the ferry dock on the Kingston side (e.g., Holiday Inn, Delta, Marriott, etc.).
